The Office of Archives, Statistics, and Research is proud to announce the inauguration of the Adventist Archives Lectureship in Adventist History and Mission. The lecture will be given every autumn at Washington Adventist University.
The goals of the lectureship are to:
- Explore the history of the Seventh-day Adventist Church and its roots
- Examine the sources for that history, appraise their strengths and weaknesses, and how they might affect current understandings of the Adventist past
- Identify and assess trends and developments in the church’s past
- Tell the stories of those who committed themselves to proclaiming the third angel’s message
The General Conference Archives team is delighted to be partnering with the Honors College of Washington Adventist University in this initiative that will promote greater knowledge and understanding of the Adventist history and mission.
